Jesus Said

The Path to Freedom

by:

Welcome to the site where I hope to journey with you in the premier quest of the lifetime-- finding the truth of who we are and where do we go from here. This pursuit, by far the most consequential, needs patience, which I hope you will have, as searching for the truth is no easy matter, more so as we are trekking far beyond mere atoms and molecules.

Talks about the war of the immortals in the heavenly realm where Satan and his gang of rebellious angels were ejected from the Eternal Paradise. This is a most consequential event for mankind though it happened before the creation of man.

Eons and eons ago in a faraway kingdom of light, a voice was heard that pierced the immensity of nothingness, clothed in darkness, “Let there be light.” This section deals in the creation of the universe of matter with man at its apex. He is the unsurpassed miracle of creation for he is the hybrid being with two natures, the mortal body and the immortal soul. The undying soul like the physical body has supernatural faculties, namely, 1) the memory  2) the understanding and 3) the will.

Talks about the original sin that Adam and Eve committed in Eden which in turn, like an infection, was passed to all their descendants.

This section serves as an introduction to Chapter Two that provides a much-needed lift because of the defeatist note that ended the first chapter, that is, man’s dismal flight away from the truth and his continuous descent to hell.

This short section is the introduction to the discussion of the “New order of Being” which is the modern man, Homo sapiens sapiens. The in-depth examination is in Section 2.

Jesus said: "If God can clothe in such splendor the grass of the fields, which blooms today and is thrown on the fire tomorrow, will he not provide much more for you, O weak in faith!". [Matthew 6: 30]

Jesus said: "You shall love the Lord your God with your whole heart, with your whole soul and with all your mind." [Matthew 22: 37] The three levels of loving according to Our Lord, heart, soul, and mind, which is an impossibility if man does not possess a dual nature.

The soul’s memory, unlike its finite counterpart, is not subject to corruption, just like the soul’s incorruptible nature. Mental faculties including memory, the seat of which is in the brain, invariably deteriorate with time.

The soul’s faculty of understanding corresponds imperfectly to the finite intellect of the mortal body, the locus of which is the brain. Human intellect is discursive or investigative in its approach to problem solving.

If the soul’s memory is for remembrance of deeds done in time, the understanding is for the comprehension of realities over and above the natural, then the Will is the seat of action that is tasked to practice what it understands, which the memory documents as the lasting proof of its fidelity or lack thereof to the God who created him in his image and likeness.

True that we are of different stocks and persuasions, but they are only superficial delineations, for without exception, we are all fellow travelers in the road called Life that is herding us like a flock toward the same end, regardless of class or distinction.
